Calcium Sulfate
A calcium mineral that also helps wet foods hold their shape.
Calcium sulfate supplies calcium and a little sulfur. In canned pet food it also works as a firming agent, helping pâtés and loaves set, which is mainly why it appears there. It’s the same mineral as gypsum, in a food-grade form.
Its amount counts toward the food’s total calcium, which nutrient profiles limit for growing large-breed puppies.
