Fat or oil

Canola Oil

A plant oil that supplies omega-6 fats and some plant omega-3.

Canola oil comes from a low-erucic-acid type of rapeseed. It supplies energy, linoleic acid and alpha-linolenic acid, a plant omega-3, and it’s low in saturated fat.

Dogs and cats convert little of that plant omega-3 into EPA and DHA, so it isn’t a substitute for fish oil where those fats are the point.
