Barley
A grain that supplies starch and soluble fibre.
Barley supplies starch for energy and soluble fibre, and it tends to be digested more slowly than rice. Pearled barley has had its outer layer polished off, and whole grain barley keeps it. It’s a common grain in dog foods, and it contains gluten, like wheat.
