Mineral
Tricalcium Phosphate
A mineral that supplies calcium and phosphorus together.
Calcium phosphates supply two minerals that have to be kept in balance: calcium and phosphorus. Together they form most of the mineral in bone. Tricalcium, dicalcium and monocalcium phosphate differ in how much of each they carry, and makers use them to tune the ratio in a recipe.
Phosphorus is often already plentiful in meat-rich foods. Pets with kidney disease may need less, so if yours has it, ask your veterinarian which food suits.
