Salmon Meal

Fish meal is made the same way as a meat meal: cooked, with most of the water and oil removed, then ground. It’s concentrated protein and minerals, and it keeps some omega-3 fats, the amount depending on how much oil was left in.

A named fish says more than “fish meal”. Fish is among the more commonly reported allergens in cats. If your pet has a fish allergy, read the whole list, since fish meal and oil can turn up in foods named after a meat.
