Fruit or vegetable
Blueberries
A fruit that adds antioxidants and fibre in small amounts.
Blueberries supply pigments called anthocyanins, along with some vitamin C and fibre. They’re safe for dogs and cats. The list runs by weight, so where it sits tells you roughly how much there is. Well down the list, the amount is small.
They’re often promoted for their antioxidants, but the amount in a food is usually small, and what it does at that level hasn’t been shown in pets.
